FAQ

A. Adolphus Busch, one of the founders of Anheuser-Busch, coined the Budweiser name because it drew upon the German heritage of the company and could easily be pronounced by the largely German population in St Louis at the time.
A. Budweiser was first brewed in 1876 in St Louis, Missouri.
A. Budweiser is brewed using the finest all natural ingredients and only consists of barley-malt, hops, rice, yeast and water.

A. Budweiser is brewed using the finest all natural ingredients – including barley-malt, hops, rice, yeast and water – and a time honoured brewing process that has been passed down through five generations of the Busch family. A combination of art and science, the Budweiser brewing process combines traditional brewing methods with the latest technological innovations. The result is a process that ages the beer slowly and naturally.
A. Budweiser is brewed to be enjoyed by adults of the legal drinking age in the UK at 5.0 percent Alcohol by Volume (ABV)
A. The best temperature for storing packaged beer is between 4.4 and 21.1 degrees Celsius. At higher temperatures, especially approaching over 26.6 degrees Celsius, the aroma and flavour of beer deteriorate rapidly. At lower temperatures, below 0 degrees Celsius there is always the risk of freezing. Additionally a dark storage place is preferred for bottled beer to prevent it from becoming light struck and from taking on an undesirable flavour and aroma. Budweiser’s classic brown bottle helps protect the beer from harmful light.
A. The extra step of using rice produces a clean, crisp taste – the balance necessary for Budweiser’s trademark drinkability.
A. Because 4.3 percent alcohol by volume (ABV) is the beer industry standard in the Republic of Ireland, Budweiser brewed for the Irish market has been brewed with 4.3 percent ABV since we launched the brand there in 1986.

Although the alcohol content differs slightly, there is no difference in taste between Budweiser brewed in Ireland and Budweiser brewed in the United Kingdom. Irish beer drinkers have shown their appreciation for Budweiser’s clean, crisp and refreshing taste by making it the best-selling lager in Ireland, and the second best-selling lager in the world.

We will be sponsoring the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ in South Africa. In the UK Budweiser is the official beer of the Premier League, and the official partner of Manchester United.
